1st year students of the dual group held a music lesson at the NGS New Generation School

As part of the industrial training plan of the dual group of the 1st year of the specialty "Primary education with ICT", a non-standard lesson "Music around us" was organized. The program included a quiz, a mini-concert of students, creative choral singing with students, a meeting with the author of the textbook “Music. Grade 2 "Asken Makhanova.

Feedback from the event participants was enthusiastic.

Alina Ibragimova: “It's so interesting that already in the 1st year we have the opportunity of live communication with children. We see a new generation school, and our mentors are happy to show us the process from the inside. At the university, according to the curriculum, we took the subject “Fundamentals of musical and practical activities and vocal and choral performance”, and prepared for this form of music-making with children. We wrote the script ourselves and learned the songs. We realized that with children you need to be not only a teacher, but a little bit of an actor.”

Raushan Bekmuratova, Director of the Department of Academic Progress of the Primary School: “This year, for the first time, we opened the NGIntern project at the school as part of the KAZDUAL project - “Implementation of the dual system in Kazakhstan” under the ERASMUS + program Improving the potential of higher education (EU 618835-EPP-1-2020 -1-KZ-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP implementation period: 01/15/2021 - 01/14/2024). Together with the Department of Primary Education (Head Zhumabaeva Asia) we are trying different forms of industrial training. Today we saw that thanks to this, the first-year students were already able to hold an interesting event with the children.”

Grade 2 students: “We have never had such an unusual music lesson. The young teachers repeated the notes with us so cheerfully, taught us to sing a song, we found out on which rulers the notes are written, solved all the riddles and guessed the melodies from the cartoons.”

Makhanova Asken, Associate Professor of the Department of Primary Education: “I note that the 1st year students, together with the group adviser Assel Akpayeva, showed creativity and diligence in preparing such a lesson. Trying yourself in the role of a music teacher in an elementary school during the period of industrial practice opens up the opportunity for students to deeply understand the process of teaching, educating and developing children.
