Abai University held a series of trainings within the framework of the KAZDUAL project of the ERASMUS  program
On September 14, 15, 16, 2022, a series of trainings "Introduction of dual education" was held for teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates, students and employer partners. Abai University project team within the framework of the KazDual project - "Implementation of a dual system in Kazakhstan" (project number: EU 618835-EPP-1-2020-1-KZ-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP, implementation period: 15.01.2021-14.01.2024) under the Erasmus + program organized trainings in various formats.
September 14 this year a meeting of the project members with a pilot group of dual education - 1st year students of the EP "6V01303-Primary education with ICT" was held. The students got acquainted with the principles of dual education, discussed a tripartite agreement, and passed an introductory test. Director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Abaeva Galiya spoke about the rules of dual education. Head of the Department of Primary Education Professor Zhumabaeva Asia - about the plan of work with the school in the 2022-2023 academic year.
On September 15, a training was held for teachers and doctoral students of all institutes of the university. Vice-Rector for Research at Abai University, Project Manager Buribayev Ermek spoke about the plans and intermediate results of the project. The project participants shared their experience of innovation in the organization of dual education. Sapargaliyeva Bayan, PhD, postdoctoral student, acquainted with the progress of the KAZDUAL project "Implementation of the dual system in Kazakhstan".
Abayeva Galia, Director of the Institute, characterized the flexible model of dual higher and professional education. She introduced the audience to the conceptual and legal framework of dual education in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Akpayeva Asel, Associate Professor of the Department of Primary Education, introduced the participants of the training to the study of the positions of employers towards the introduction of a dual education system.
Serikova Samal, PhD, postdoctoral fellow, shared the innovative experience of the project's European partners in curriculum development. She revealed methods for developing curricula. Berikhanova Aiman, Ph.D. in Pedagogy, professor-researcher, revealed pedagogical approaches to motivating students for active learning activities.
On September 16, a business brunch was held on the implementation of the dual system in Kazakhstan: best practices, innovations and prospects for interested parties: employers, teachers, undergraduates and doctoral students of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology. During the business brunch, many questions were asked about the European experience of dual education, about the difficulties of introducing the principles of dual education into higher pedagogical education. Opinions were expressed about the prospects for implementation, the importance of advanced work with students and employers. Such a lively discussion proved the relevance of dual education at the university and in Kazakhstan.
